H{ippity} Hop Monday

Hey everyone, it's Eva here.  Did you have a wonderful Thanksgiving Weekend? Hope you made lots of fabulous memories and also got some shopping done and now you are ready for a new week.

Well, today, I am going to offer up a new challenge for the week and it's an inspiration challenge based on  yummy CAKES....how fun is that???  I can be inspired just about anything, and as I was thinking about what to pick for this week's challenges, for some reason cakes popped in my head.  Maybe I was craving them...LOL...don't know, however I went searching for a site that offers a pretty yummy cake gallery and I found this one:

Now, let me just say, I don't know them, never ordered from them, I was only looking at the site for pure inspiration, so don't blame me if you order a cake from them and don't like it, but on the flip side, do share if you loved their cakes...LOL

So, check them out and here is what you have to do to play along

1. Simply create a card or project using the Cakes for Occasion gallery as your inspiration of course using Ippity stamps.
2. Upload your project to your SCS gallery by midnight on Sunday, December 5th, 2010 with keyword: IHHC52
3. I will randomly choose a winner next Monday, December 6th and I will post who the lucky winner is in a thread in the {ippity} forum.

Winner will get a Kissmas and Mistletoe stamp set! (isn't that perfect timing for the Holiday?)

And here is a sneak peek of my card

Make sure you check out the design teams projects for this week

NOW...lets take a look at this weeks eye catching creations :){Savannah} made this wonderful ornament using some of the older sets. I LOVE the snow she added to the houses and how she added the year...what a great keepsake for the holidays.{Lynn} always amazes me! I LOVE all the white and the texture....I think I need to work on my fear of glitter too. I REALLY love that heart.
This clean and simple card from {Susan} would be a great card to mass produce for the holidays. I'm sure a lot of you (including me) STILL need plenty of Christmas cards.
I totally LOVE the layout...the embellishments and the colors of this cheery birthday card from {Nora Anne}. The orange is such a FUN pop of color!
WOW...I am blown away by this big...beautiful bow!! {Jen Marie} kept the layout simple to let this bow take center stage. The little bit of red adds to just how STUNNING this card is.
and last but not least is this HAPPY card from {Jen}. I LOVE the way she used so many of the new stamps from Farm Fresh and the NEW Cosmo Cricket paper. Those polka dot scallops make me heart sing :)
Hope you loved this weeks FAVES as much as I did...Check out the full gallery {HERE}.

FlatterDay Saturday with Elisabeth!

Hello and Happy Saturday!!

It's today on the Ippity Blog that we flatter someone!!
And we are still focusing on the wonderful and talented

Elisabeth Ostrowski

who is one of our Ippity Chicks!

We hope that you have visited her sales blog and taken advantage of the special that she is running right now!

Now is the perfect time to get those newly released Ippity Stamps,
or just to order those stamp sets that you need to give to your
stamping friends and loved ones for Christmas!!

To help us get to know her a little better, we have asked Elisabeth some questions...

General Questions

·       Tell us a little about yourself.  {Family, location, background, job, kids, etc.}
I’m 46 years old, married for 25 years and mother to three children.  My Husband and I live in Northern Jersey along with our two youngest, and our oldest daughter lives in Brooklyn.

Stamping Questions

·       How did you first get involved in stamping?
I’ve always been involved in some sort of craft, ever since I could remember - macramé, needlepoint, crochet, knitting… about seven years ago I stumbled upon paper crafting and have never looked back!
·       What is your stamping style?
A jumble of everything really, I’d be hard pressed to come up with a word that describes my style.
·       Tell us about your creative process.
Whatever works.  Usually I sit and stare and move things around.  Sometimes, (and oh how I love those times) I don’t even think, my hands just do.  I’m always happiest with those projects.
·       What is your favorite {ippity} stamp set and why?
Right now I’m really drawn to the new sentiment set, “How you doin’?”  I love that I’ll be able to mix them in with all the other sets!
·       How often do you stamp?
I try to get a little something done every day, actual stamping or at least planning.
·       How long does it take you to make a project you are happy with?
One never knows….45 minutes?  A week?
·       What does your craft room look like? {messy, clean, etc.}
A place for everything and everything in its place.  Well, that’s the plan anyway.

Check out one of the amazing cards that Elisabeth made using our new
 Farm Fresh Ippity stamp set.

{ippity} Chicks

·       What is the name of your Ippity Sales Blog?
Stamp{ippity}
·       What made you decide to start selling Ippity?
I vend at a local monthly crop and {ippity} stamps are the perfect addition to my vending table!   I love their quality and I was drawn to the images.
·       Tell us about your experience selling Ippity
I’ve loved every minute of it!  I love teaching paper crafting and stamping and have enjoyed incorporating {ippity} into all my projects!

Here is a closer view of her talented work!! I love how rustic she made this card look!

Just for FUN Questions

·       What is your favorite quote?
Just about anything from Winnie the Pooh.
·       What would I find in your refrigerator right now?
Grapes, cheese, milk, eggs, 4 different brands of hot sauce, blanched almonds, and some left over beef barley soup.
·       What would your dream vacation be?
Quiet camping on a lake.  Fishing, reading and absolutely no itinerary!

Thanks Elisabeth for letting us highlight you this week!!

I hope that you have enjoyed this long holiday weekend (for our stateside friends.)  Be sure to stop by Elisabeth's or any one of our Ippity Chick's blogs to find out what specials are being offered!!

And until next time, Happy Stamping!!!

Fresh Idea Friday

Happy Friday Everyone!

For our peeps in the U.S. - I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving Day yesterday.  It is my favorite holiday.  A day designed to be full of gratitude, family, friends and good food.

A perfect day to put a song in my heart.

Today, I have a little project to remind me to keep that song in my heart.

I just adore this little plaque.  It isn't big, but it is the perfect size to hang in my little area at work.  Something to remind me to keep that song going strong.  To keep positive and remember NOT to let the little things get me down.

I used a 3.5" x 3.5" square of chipboard and covered it in some fun and bright digital patterned paper.  I stamped the bird onto the same pink grid paper (though hard to tell in the pic) and then colored him a little with some Copic markers.  The ruffled ribbon is by Bazzill (a new found love).

The Sing a New Song stamp set packs a powerful punch.  It is one of my favorites from the recent release.  What?  You don't have this set yet?  Oh well, don't you know you can get it from one of our FABULOUS {ippity} chicks?

Who is out shopping today???  I must say I am not a big early morning Black Friday shopper.  I used to be when I was younger.  Now, I just head out in the afternoon sometime and see if anything catches my eye.  If it is meant to be, it will be there waiting for me.  ha-ha.  If you are out braving the cold and crowds, what goodies did you find?
